So you’re planning your big day, and you’re umming and arring over whether to include your best friend. A.k.a Fido, a.k.a your canine child. Dog’s are part of the family, so it’s not surprising that more people are including their dog in their wedding. And why the hell not? More venues are becoming open to having a few four legged friends on their grounds. So if you’re set on having Fido there, all you have to do is search for the right dog friendly wedding venue.

  1. Your wedding pictures certainly wouldn’t be the same without them

End of. It’s a fact. There’s not cuter wedding picture than one with the bride, groom and their dog. You will keep your wedding pictures forever, and if you’re honest, you’d probably be a little bit heartbroken if Fido wasn’t in them.

  1. You can get them an adorable outfit

When else do you have the chance to dress your dog in a wedding outfit such as bow tie or doggy bridesmaid dress. All our your wedding guests will be in awe of the adorableness.

  1. Your wedding will feel more ‘you’

If you are a crazy dog person, you obviously need dogs at your wedding. Whether you just have your dog or get all your friends to bring their dogs too is up to you. But they just need to be there, because your wedding wouldn’t feel right without your pooch.

  1. Dogs at weddings are just too cute

We just can’t get over how cute wedding dogs are. There’s just something about a dog next to a bride and groom that makes us tear up with joy.

  1. Your dog obviously needs to be your ring bearer

If you have a well trained pooch, then why not give them an important job. It’s popular these days to have dogs as ring bearers, and we’re totally down with that.

  1. They can entertain your guests

Your pooch will fill your wedding guests with glee and entertain them with their charming antics and puppy dog eyes.

  1. You don’t have to worry about leaving them at home

Forget booking a dog sitter or worrying about your poor pooch being home alone whilst you say ‘I do’. That should be the least of your worries. You can feel at ease knowing Fido is safe and sound by your side.

  1. You can walk down the aisle with your bestie

Happy days. Along with your bridesmaids, send your canine companion down the aisle too. Then they can be there waiting for you when you arrive. Or better still, walk down the aisle with them.
